3 months came and went so fast!

Finn is growing too fast, i cant keep up! The time seems to go that much faster with the second baby. I absolutely love the age of 3 months to 6 months. I find that there is so much growth and your baby experiences so many changes during these months. Its such a joy to watch!

At 3 months, Finn began to "calm down" a bit if that makes any sense. Both of my babies were the same as newborns - very clingy, fussy, needing to be held constantly. When I say constantly, I mean if I were to put Finn down for 3 seconds he would scream bloody murder. He just needed to be held all the time. Now, he still wants to be held, but he will be okay on his own for longer stretches. You guys, the 3 month stage brings so many smiles and baby giggles! I absolutely love watching him smile and giggle. He's loving his big sister Addison and its the cutest thing to watch her give him high fives!

At 3 months post partum, i'm finding that my body has sort of hit a lull in weight loss. This happened to me the first time around also after I gave birth to Addison. I am still breastfeeding which helps with weight loss; however, I find that for me personally, my body slows down on the rapid weight loss around this point post partum. I am currently 14 weeks pp and have lost a total of 25 pounds. I still need to loose around 10 pounds to be at my pre pregnancy weight. Now keep in mind that I got pregnant with Finn when I was only 8.5/9 months post partum with Addison. Which means I hadn't lost all of the baby weight from her before getting pregnant again. Ahh. mom struggles.

I'm finding that at this 3 month mark I am finally beginning to feel like I am figuring out this whole "two kids" thing. Adjusting to two, especially two under two, was such a struggle. We have stared to get into somewhat of a routine, although things change so constantly with the changes in stages with a baby and a toddler. We are going to begin sleep training with Finn at 4 months, which will be a big game changer when both Jason and I, as well as Finn, are able to sleep through the night.
