Toddler's First Halloween

Happy November, everyone! I hope you all had a super fun and spooky Halloween. This year was Addison's first official Halloween. She was born in September of last year, but there was no way I was going to be pushing around a newborn at night, just about a month after giving birth. NOPE. So this year was extremely exciting. She was interested in everything from the spooky decorations, the costumes, and most importantly, the pumpkins. This little girl of ours couldn't get enough of the pumpkins. Not just on Halloween either, but the whole month leading up. Across the street from us, there's a house with an inflatable Jack Skellington, sitting on a giant pumpkin. For those of you who have no idea what i'm taking about, this is a character from the movie "The nightmare before Christmas". Addi would go to the window every day and point at that pumpkin and get as excited as I do when I smell my morning coffee.

Watching her glow with excitement was the highlight of Fall 2017 for me. This mama's heart was overflowing with joy as I watched my girl get dressed up as THE MOST ADORABLE ICE CREAM CONE YOU EVER DID SEE!!! Jason and I loved how kind and friendly everyone in our neighborhood was as we took Addison out to experience trick or treating for the first time. She was taking all her surroundings, not scared of anything. My brave little girl. She laughed at the ghosts going boo and the witches who cackled as we walked by. One of her highlights of the evening was saying hi to all of the puppies who were dressed up, as well as holding her box of smarties, shaking it as we walked up to each house.

We can't wait to have our baby boy here for next Halloween!

Addison's costume was from Old Navy ---
